ALPINE LAKES

We offer both single and multi day fishing trips into the Holy Cross Wilderness.

There is nothing quite like combining a horseback ride with a day of fishing in a glacial lake near timberline. You will depart the stables for the trail-head around 9:00 for the two hour ride to West Tennessee Lakes. Experience the best lake fishing in Colorado . During the heat of the day, while the fishing are hiding in the shadows, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views while having lunch. You could also go for a quick loop around the bowl on horseback. You should return to the stables around 4:30. The cost is $325 per person and includes lunch, beverages, and fishing gear if required. 

For multi day stays we maintain a drop camp nestled in the trees a few minutes ride from the lower lakes. We can drop you off and let you stay a few days by yourself. Or, if you prefer we can leave a wrangler/cook with you for the duration of your trip.

The guided trip is for a minimum of 2 people, starting as low as $375 per person per  day . The price includes the guide along with the complete drop camp featuring separate eating and sleeping tents, firewood, horses and meals.
